Next!

March 31

Finally, we are getting rid of these old, ugly, drafty windows. They are wood windows and over 30 years old. The cables that allow them to stay open were broken, the caulking was dried out and falling out. I am surprised that the glass didn't fall out. What I hated most about these windows is that the bottom was only about two feet off the ground.

April 1

We had snacks! Since we were spending so much time at work and they were only feeding us at mealtime, we decided that we needed snacks. Rebecca went shopping and we had plenty of fun stuff - Skittles, Snickers, chips, chewy granola bars.

April 2

The new windows are beautiful. There is one is Steve's room and one in Jim's room. The oak trim turned out great and having a deep windowsill is very nice. The windows themselves are vinyl, so they should last a long time.

April 3

It is hard to see in the photo because of the reflection, but Lucy is sitting in the window. She loves being able to see outside and I thought she looked especially cute this particular day. Most of the time, the boys keep their bedroom doors closed, so she doesn't get to climb up onto the windowsill. Poor, little kitty!

April 4

I love my Dyson. When I first got it, I vacuumed all the time. I loved seeing how much junk it sucked up. I have cut back on the frequency, but I still love using it.

April 5

I love this photo. It was taken from the front yard. Our winter was very dry and our spring is starting out the same way. These storm clouds took my breath away when I saw them. They didn't bring any rain, but they were pretty.

April 6

I got Jim to help paint! It is his room, so it makes sense that he help out. Granted, he didn't do much, but he can honestly say he helped. We painted his room a pale green.

One more week...

Well, I got behind again. It is so easy to do. I just run out of time for the things I like to do. I work full time, have a family, a house to keep up - laundry, groceries, cooking, cleaning. My hobbies seem to be the last thing on the list.

March 24

It has taken awhile, but the cats don't hate each other. When we first got Lucy, she couldn't get close to Goofy at all without him hissing at her. Now, every once in awhile, they will lay next to one another. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it is very sweet.

March 25

Goofy is such an old man. Lucy just wants to play, but Goof doesn't want any part of it. He seems to be telling her to get out of his space.

March 26

It was my week for cat photos. Growing up, it seemed like we always had one or more cats. We got this handsome dude in 1992 and we have had two cats almost continuously since then.

March 27

The only Sudoku puzzle I like to do are the gentle and moderate ones. I don't like to have to guess. I want to solve them using logic only and anything harder than gentle and moderate seems to require guesswork. I don't want to work that hard.

March 28

Once upon a time, we had several rose bushes. However, they were planted in an area that did not get enough sun. I was able to dig up most of them, but this bush was stubborn and it beat me. Yellow roses were Dennis' mom's favorites, so I didn't put up much of a fight with it. I don't take very good care of it, but each year, it gives us some pretty blooms.

March 29

The MOVE! I worked on two move teams at work - moved people into two of the eight new buildings we are inhabiting. The second move team was responsible for building 2, which moved over two weekends. It was crazy! We put in some very long hours and ended up exhausted. The overtime pay was nice, though.

March 30

The view from our new campus can be beautiful as you can tell by this sunset.
